My name is Kirsten De Man and I’m thrilled to apply for the temporary role as Digital Merchandising Specialist within the Digital Customer Meeting Point - a role that I would happily contribute to and where my optimistic, communicative and supportive mindset are definitely assets.
As a dedicated and experienced Online Merchandising Specialist at IKEA, I’ve optimized online range presentation and driven sales. With my extensive store experience in visual merchandising and now also in e-commerce, combined with my passion for home furnishing, I’m convinced that I can be a valuable addition to your team.
Ever since the great omnichannel ambitions of IKEA, I’m always looking for opportunities to ensure that we help our customers and co-workers within all customer meeting points ‘to create a better everyday life for the many people’ as one IKEA. This by grasping actionable insights via web analytics, SEO, sales performance and qualitative/quantitative research.
I thrive in collaborative environments and have led and supported multiple projects, including participating in reference groups, like Restore Affordability, DELTA, VUGC and Kreativ. My ability to learn quickly, adapt to new challenges, and continuously seek improvements through insights ensures that I can contribute effectively to your team and help achieve seamless customer experiences. Wherever the customers are engaging with us.
Since joining IKEA Belgium in 2013, I’ve worked on numerous HF&RD projects, growing my passion for home furnishing and my ability to see and support the bigger vision. In 2022, I transitioned to my current role, Online Merchandising Specialist supporting BE e-commerce and HF&RD. I had taken the step from working in a physical meeting point to a digital one. Together with my deep knowledge of layout as a commercial tool and our range presentation media, ready to boost the way we are presenting our range online!
I love discovering new digital tools. As Country Superuser for Revit, I rolled out Autodesk’s design tool in Belgium and supported our Interior Design Service with the GPC collage tool.
My broad and diversified experiences at IKEA have made me more solution oriented and continuously seeking better ways to drive seamless customer (omnichannel) experiences. In a creative and commercial way.
This temporary role is an opportunity for me to jump and play a bigger part by bringing the Growth Plan to life and support the omnichannel IKEA markets within their digital meeting points and inspire everyone with our great range.
